What happens
The fair starts at midnight with the lighting of thousands of lanterns on the entrance gate (the alumbrado). Most casetas are private (families, clubs, companies), but there are public ones run by the districts and political parties. Afternoons bring the horse parade; evenings are for dancing until late.

Dates for 2027 are based on the fixed date or the usual rule. Confirm with the organisers or town hall before booking.
Tips
- If you know someone with a caseta, that is the way in.
- Women often wear flamenco dresses; men wear suits or short jackets.
